I choose not to take insurance in my practice to ensure that every decision made about psychotherapy treatment (such as length of treatment, frequency and duration of sessions, therapy modalities, etc.) is between my clients and myself, not a third-party payer. I'm able to offer holistic care (adddresses the root cause of symptoms) vs simply covering up symptoms. The only way to ensure the highest quality of care and best possible outcomes is to take insurance out of the equation. If you have a PPO insurance plan, I'm happy to provide you with a monthly superbill, if applicable. I also accept HSA and FSA plans to cover the cost of therapy.

Out of Network Insurance
Using Out-of-Network (OON) benefits for women's therapy offers greater control, privacy, and flexibility, allowing you to choose specialists, get faster access, and have more tailored sessions (longer, more creative) without strict insurance limits, with reimbursement making it financially feasible, though you pay upfront and wait for insurer payback. Key benefits include matching with the best-fit therapist, deeper/longer care for complex issues, more session types, and less insurance oversight, leading to better outcomes.

Private Pay
Private pay for therapy offers better privacy (no diagnosis on medical record), more control (no session limits/insurance dictates), wider therapist choice (specialists often don't take insurance), and often higher quality care (therapists focus on you, not insurers). Key benefits include faster access, tailored treatment, and freedom insurance access to your private medical file. Investing your own money can increase your engagement and value for the process.
